Whether I’m reporting back to Stanford University from the frontlines of the refugee crisis, writing up studies on the environmental impact of 3D printing, or creating impactful copy for entrepreneurs and creatives across the globe.
After receiving my B.A. in English Literature from the University of California, Berkeley, and with experience in fin-tech marketing in hand, I set out to work as a Content Marketer in Silicon Valley. I loved what I did, but realized the best of my work was done through writing.
I built up my business on the side, contributing to Sunset Magazine and ghostwriting for a branding agency before I set off on my own, a roster of loyal clients by my side. Ever since then, I’ve been proud to serve talented business owners and entrepreneurs through copywriting and content writing.
Each one of them shares a commitment to excellence in what they do, no matter their industry, and a genuine love for their area of expertise.
I work to honor that every day by developing powerful copy that drives their message and puts their service front and center, right where it should be.
“Always be a poet,
EVEN IN PROSE.”
— Charles Baudelaire
If you asked me my favorite way of brewing coffee, I’d tell you “all ways”, but French Press, Greek, and a Bialetti are in my daily rotation. My favorite flowers are a dice-up between peonies and dahlias, and my favorite teas are anything loose-leaf (but I favor white and oolong). My pets' names are Cassiopeia, Twig, and Fern (the dogs), Starla, Aspen, Hazel, and Sage (the hens), and Rowan, Denali, and Blossom (the cats). If I hadn’t become a writer, I’d have been a wildlife biologist.
What I'm
reading
What am I not reading! Business books about entrepreneurship, copywriting, and ethical economics. Ecopoetry, magical realism, and fantasy. (House of Rust by Khadija Abdalla Bajaber is a recent fave.) And ancient Celtic texts, including the Táin and the Mabinogian.
What I'm
writing
Aside from the writing I do for all the amazing people I work with, I’m currently working on my first novel. It was inspired by my childhood love of Irish and Scottish folktales, and bolstered by my extensive research in UC Berkeley’s Medieval Department.
What I'm
learning
I’m currently trying to re-teach myself how to paint with watercolors. I love how the colors are a little different every time you mix them, and appreciate the meditative quality behind giving each layer of color the time it needs to dry.
what I
believe
I believe in the unstoppable combination of hard work and Providence, in the delight of living a life rooted in intuition, intention, and present-mindedness, in good books, good food, good company, and in tiny, often unseen acts of kindness.
